Useful handknits aren't always sweaters

Some of you will say I have too much time on my hands if I'm off knitting mop covers. It isn't true, of course, but this was a fun project. And quick, too! Basically two days and I was done and vacuuming my floors with a smile.

This is the Swifty pattern from Mason-Dixon Knitting. I am working on one for my wet Swiffer mop next. I have been adding a few rows to the lace scarf here and there, but I needed something with a more meaty yarn for some relief. Lace weight yarn is such a strain! My shoulders and neck tense up, my fingers cramp from gripping the tiny needles. Ugh. I really am starting to enjoy lace, but it certainly has its drawbacks. This cheapie kitchen cotton is a cinch in comparison.

Housework is always more fun with a handmade mop cover!

I love it!! You chose very nice colors. Believe me, I do not think you have a lot of time on your hands. But I get that all the time from people that think SAHM's have all the free time in the world.
