Around the house

From baking, to cooling, to gone - all in under an hour.  I had three kinders in the house after school so we made snickerdoodles.  And it wasn't as bad as you might imagine - we learned a little bit about measuring and reading recipes and taking turns.

Myla-Mae only leaves this spot to eat, drink, potty and occasionally changes things up by sleeping on the couch.  I can't really say I blame her.  There are many cozy places in the house, but she seems to have found the best one.

Joy of Joys, my new yarn arrived today!  This is earmarked for a Guernsey Wrap (a Jared Flood pattern).  That's Wool of the Andes in Cobblestone Heather - gotta love inexpensive yet reliable yarn.

I tried to bake a loaf of bread to go with the potato-leek soup I made for dinner.  Epic fail.  I even called JJ to rant about it.  He said we should all have such problems.  Oh well, that's what New Seasons is for, right?  Challah bread it is!

As you can see, it didn't take long to dive into the pile of yarn.  I love this pattern - easy to remember but changes up often enough to stay interesting.  So that was my day - how was yours?
