Lazy knitting Saturday

mitered crosses

There hasn't been much knitting lately on the blog - but that doesn't mean I haven't been busy!  It's Saturday afternoon.  The kids are with JJ at a friend's birthday party.  It's a beautiful warm early summer day.  My feet are up on the coffee table.  I'm knitting my last full mitered cross square and have the yarn for the half squares waiting in the wings.  There's a chocolate almond biscotti nearby, cheese and crackers, and "Rock Me Amadeus" is playing on Pandora...now it's The Cure.  Life pretty much doesn't get much better than this.

I really love these squares. They are somehow sophisticated and fun at the same time, and really who could ask for more than that?
