Day tripping

On Friday Auntie Sarah and I packed up the kids for a trip to Multnomah Falls in the Columbia River Gorge.  Auntie and Owen had been wanting to go hiking again after the success they had last time so it was decided they would climb to the top of the falls while Aidan napped in the car.  When he woke up he and I hiked as far as the bridge and met our intrepid explorers.

It was the first warm sunny day we'd had in weeks so of course the place was packed - and being such a big attraction, we weren't surprised, but it's still fun to go and mingle and listen to the kids squeal in the spray from the falls, to hear the roar of the water as it tumbles down its two tiers into the pool at the base.

Even the view from the parking lot is nice.

Snacks with Auntie is always good times.  Apples, dried nuts and fruit, graham cracker bunnies - what could be better?  It was a perfect day.
