So you have two beautiful squares to start off your Mitered Crosses Blanket (buy yours today!). The fronts show off the lovely mix of Noro Silk Garden and Berroco Blackstone Tweed. The backs, however, look like this:
In short? A mess. All those ends! Does anyone really enjoy weaving in the tails? I never did until I learned about Elizabeth Zimmerman's technique for weaving in the ends for garter stitch projects. Visit this excellent blog for the photos that got me going. Now, instead of the mess you see above, I have this:
a handsome little pile of tails
and two beautiful blocks soon to be joined by more mitered goodness. Hurray for the Mason-Dixon gals, hurray for Elizabeth Zimmerman and hurray for knitting blogs! Three forces for good in an otherwise uncertain (and unwoven) world.

Your blanket is going to be amazing!
I hate weaving loose ends as well...
Very nice! I am trying to use something from the stash for this, but all the Noro ones are so pretty!
That is gorgeous! Good job weaving in those loose ends.
