Wee yellow sweater

Offset Wraplan by Sarah Morris

Yesterday I managed to finish the second sleeve, weave in all the loose ends and sew seven ladybug buttons on my Wee Yellow Sweater.  It's so stinkin' cute.  If I do say so myself...and I do, because it is.

The first photo is the most accurate, colorwise.  The light wasn't cooperating this morning (of course, the sun is out NOW) but I was antsy.  This was a very simple and fun project to whip up and is free on Ravelry (I made the 0-3 month size).  The pattern suggests plain stockinette for the button placket (to make sewing all the little buggers on easier) but I went whole hog and did all the edging in mistake rib instead.  I mean, why not, right?  I hope Gretchen's baby-to-be gets some good wear out of this little sweater - she's due to arrive in September and this light weight cotton/merino yarn should be perfect for chilly autumn mornings/evenings.

Awww! So sweet. Love the yellow against that blue door. Reminds me of a pic from Posie:)
