My kind of day

Wow - what can you say about a day where knitting, bread baking, a new magazine and pink dogwoods all factor in somewhere?  Awesome comes to mind.

As you can see the little blue/gray/green Maile Sweater is finished!  I just love it; I'm especially grateful to all my Ravelry friends for their kind comments.  It was an intense little knit, but one I'm very proud of.  The scary part was when I knew I was going to run out of yarn.  At one point I was searching the internet and Ravelry wondering if anyone would be kind enough to sell an odd ball, but when I discovered I had enough to finish, just not bind off, I was inspired (around one o'clock in the morning) to add and bind off with white yarn.  Add a white crocheted hem to match and voila!  So glad it all worked out - next time I go stash busting I promise to make sure I have slightly more than enough for the project.

And this special issue of Stitch??  OMG.  OMG x 2.  I want to make EVERYTHING in it.  Run right out and check it out - well worth the extra cash, I think.  I don't usually fall prey to the siren song of sewing magazines, but this one is a must.  The felt pot holders?  The apple coasters??  The aprons???

A day to remember on a grey, whiny, "Calgon, take me away" day!!! Did you bake the bread? Yummy!

It is a gorgeous little sweater! The bread looks delicious. Yes, I will need to get that magazine. I have their other issues and it's always awesome.
