I'm amazed by how much the holidays take out of a person. It's Monday and though the house is slowly getting back to normal I'm feeling grouchy and cranky and generally uncooperative. Maybe if I would send myself to bed before one a.m. once in awhile...
Sounds like someone's got a case of the Mondays!*
Well, perhaps a trip to the craft store after Aidan's nap will improve things. There are two projects I'm dying to start (more on them later). I haven't had any retail therapy in months (shopping for other people doesn't count) and I have also been dying to read Her Fearful Symmetry by Audrey Niffenegger. Buying books is almost as satisfying as buying yarn. I'm almost done with The Know-It-All, on loan from Miss Katie Elizabeth, so a new book for the new year is certainly in order. Of course, I could wait for it from the library, but last time I checked I was still somewhere in the hundreds in line. Yeesh.
Here's hoping everyone gets through Monday with minimal fuss (*maybe go watch Office Space again - you know you want to).

Yes, but have you finished with that TPS report?!
I'm afraid we're going to have to ask you to move down to the basement...
Umm, yeah...
