We certainly had a gray first day at the coast; loyal NW beach combers never hold a grudge, though. The beach is as much about the mist and various shades of gray as it is about the sun and sand. Maybe more so to me. I love the cool beach fogs and gradual burning off (even if it only burns off enough for a brief sunset).
