This is why I haven't blogged in two days. This lousy bit of lace is kicking my butt. I started knitting it last week and have ripped out and cast on so many times I've lost count. But I got smart yesterday (finally) and have been threading a piece of, well, thread through the live stitches at certain intervals so when I have rip a bit back, I don't have to take the whole darn thing apart. The little stitch markers help me remember where I am in the pattern because I am just batty enough to lose my place even as I'm counting. "1 2 3 4...7...8...um, wait, what?"
Hopefully it will look lovely when it's all done and blocked - a bonafide lace scarf. I might have to bronze it for posterity.

I'm impressed that you didn't give up. It's looking great. The knitting gets easier from this point as you learn the pattern and recognise the stitches. I'm finding the lace weight is finger crippling. (I'm not that old that my fingers should ache!!)
So pretty. You are doing great! At his rate, you will have it done WAY before I start my sweater.
