Here is the lovely blue yarn purchased yesterday. It's sooo thin!!! Egad! Lynda says not to be afraid, so I must square my shoulders and dive right in...next month. Or the month after that...still, it's a gorgeous color. I was hard pressed to choose between this and the orange (orange, after all, being my go-to hue), but who could say no to "Forget Me Not" blue?
It been ages since I did any crochet other than the big afghan I've been working on for ages (shown above in the upper corner) so I decided to get a move on the throw pillows my MIL requested for her fabulous new couch (residing in her fabulous new house). This will make a nice start, I think.
And in the spirit of industry (non literary or craft related) I got busy and cleaned up the craft room. Well, my half of it, anyway. I was loathe to show Katie what chaos it had spiraled into, but I'm happy to report that I can actually walk to the craft table, find the projects I'm working on and not step on anything but carpet. There is still a mess lurking in the open closet (and don't even think about looking at the bookcase or JJ's desk) but I've made baby steps, for sure.
The Muse of Industry only stayed for so long, however, as evidenced by the dishes still sitting in the oven. Baby steps, remember?

The journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step - and housework goes on for at least a thousand miles!!!
Yeah for organization! I vaguely thought about rearranging the upstairs myself on Sunday, then I thought about washing my curtains. I knitted instead.
I'll make a deal with you. I will finally start on a sweater, as I have been planning, but have been too chicken to try, and you find a design you love and start on some lace-weight. I am going to finish my scarf first, and then we will go to it, and cheer each other on. Deal?
You got yourself a deal! I will use the gray merino that has been mocking me from it's plastic bag for so long...
