So the kids were sent off to Grandma Mims' house for the morning so I could tidy up a bit (fresh flowers on the table, dirty dishes stashed in the oven - what?) and JJ shuffled off to the golf course with Phil. When the girls arrived we took the dime tour and proceeded right out to the yarn store.
This yarn was exactly like kelp. Ok, well, if kelp was lovely and soft and ribbony.
You can almost smell the Malabrigo (well, Maddie could). I ended up with a lovely ball of powder blue lace weight, even though lace knitting scares my pants off.
I could just move in, really.
But soon it was time to pick up the kids and head home and we asked the question: Is it possible to live on strawberry margaritas and guacamole? The answer, as it turns out, is: No, you need pizza, too.

Aidan finally gave up and succumbed to naptime and Maddie kept Owen occupied (thank you, Maddie!) so we moved the party to the living room and snuggled in with our yarn. Yes, it is possible to knit after two margaritas, but only if you're doing garter stitch. Lord only knows what devilry would occur if cable needles were involved.

aaaw it doesn't get better than that. Lovely to see the photos of you all - you're all so gorgeous. And ooohaa, the yarn store! I have never seen anything like it. So much yarn. How did you get out of there.
You were super fast! What were you still doing up!? I barely made it home myself.
Oh, and I'll one up ya. If you come on down in the fall, I will make cookies and lasagna to go with the hot chocolate!
Is it Fall yet?
You've got yourself a date!
