Pillow
Polar Bear
A while back I thought to myself, "Why buy throw pillows when I have all this yarn?" I love the way this pillow looks. The back is a piece of white sweater thrifted from Goodwill and sewen directly onto the crocheted edge. I couldn't do an envelope opening like I did for Sarah's pillow because the weave of the sweater was too tight to crochet through. It turned out great, nonetheless!
We hit the zoo yesterday - lions and tigers and bears, oh my! It was crowded, but we got to see the new baby elephant, bald eagles and polar bears among others. It was a lovely afternoon and a lovely Mother's Day. Owen brought me cereal in bed...then helped me eat it.

I'm loving your crochet pieces. I feel a 'heart' coming on now the baby blanket is finished. The edging sets it off beautifully. Your day at the zoo sounds great.
1939 I think. You do know your old movies.
