Twenty Eleven

Twenty Ten Cardigan by Veera Valimaki

Forgive the lousy photos, but check it out!  The Twenty Ten Cardigan is finished!  Sort of more of a Twenty-Eleven cardigan, really, but whatever the year I'm happy to have a new sweater to wear!  I've decided it needs one more button at the top, but otherwise it's awesome.  The pattern was fun to knit and I learned some new things - that pocket?  The short-row reverse stockinette sleeves?  The diagonal button placket?  So fun.  I knit this in cotton instead of wool (gotta mix it up sometimes) and the result is nice and weighty without being too heavy.  Perfect for layering.  Combine this with the One Night Sweater for my sister and my Banded Cardigan and that's three grown-up sweaters this year!  And I have big plans for 2012, just you wait and see!

I think I can, I think I can - No I definitely can't ! Adult sweaters are so intimidating.
