Cozy corners
There's been a lot of movement around these parts - as in one piece of furniture goes out and two arrive in its place, then another and (hopefully) one more will soon be on its way (hint hint). I swapped dining tables with Mom and inherited her china hutch. How thrilling to sit at my childhood table again! Every time he sits down, Owen says, "Huh, I feel like I'm at Nana's house." I know just what he means, except I'm remembering a different house... Today I also got her couch - it isn't very old and is in better shape than our old one - let's just say ours was very comfy and looked it. This one is comfy and has a lovely shape - win-win. I love how warm and cozy everything looks now - it's like having a new room! I haven't managed to take any good photos of the hutch yet - but rest assured, I will! Oh, and did you see the gingerbread man? Mom crocheted him some thirty years ago! I hope my knitted Christmas trees will someday grace one of the boys' houses - those are the kinds of things you keep, you know?
