Feathered friends

Many friends have come to call.  Suddenly it is autumn in the Willamette Valley and the wee chickadees and finches are flocking to the bird feeders to bicker and chat and preen.  The little black-capped chickadees are so sweet, darting to and fro with seeds in their beaks while the bossy house finches hang out and posture at each other.  They witter about in the trees like tiny old ladies all talking over the top of one another.  I could sit and watch them all morning!
