Baby sweater #2

Camilla Babe by Carrie Bostick Hoge

This was something of an eleventh-hour knit.  I started the Camilla Babe way back at the beginning of August, but ran out of yarn (my gauge was pretty much on, but I was still short of what they suggested) and couldn't buy more until later.  You can see the color change where the two skeins meet - a problem with hand-painted yarn since these were considered part of the same dye lot - but really, I'm not much bothered by it, or by the fact that the shoulders look too big.  The scalloped pattern down the front looks so sweet and the yarn was lovely to work with (when isn't Madelinetosh worsted?).  It was fun to knit with such a perky color (again with the pink - these photos really don't do it justice) and the mother-to-be was very pleased with her two little sweaters when she opened the bag at the baby shower Sunday.  If she's happy, then I'm happy.

Such a pretty pattern and your knitting looks so even and neat. The colour variation is all part of working with the lovely yarns.
