FO: Saroyan scarf

I'd been wanting to actually finish something around here for ages, but between the Mitered Cross blanket and a sweater the probability of binding one of them off was grim.  So I put them aside and made a scarf!  Hey-presto, it's already done.  The Saroyan scarf was a pattern I'd wanted to make for a long time, had even bought the yarn waaaaay back in March, but for whatever reason just hadn't gotten around to it.  But it's a fabulous pattern, a quick knit and now that it's finished, a delight to wear (you know, if it wasn't in the eighties right now).  For this I used some really scrumptious yarn: Road to China light in Peridot.  It's a sport weight yarn with a subtle sheen and luxurious fiber content (baby alpaca, cashmere, camel and silk).  Out of two skeins I barely touched the second so I have a ton left to do something else with (hat maybe?) so I could have made this longer (I did five increase/decrease sections instead of six) but it fits perfectly so no complaints here.  Gorgeous light weight yarn, quick and easy pattern, eighty degree temperatures - I'd say we have a recipe for perfect summer knitting here.
