Send in the cardigans

When I said I was ready for fall, I had no idea I would get my wish so soon!  Summer seems to have vanished in the blink of an eye.  The light is filtered through cloud cover and rain.  The temperature went from the 90s one day to the 60s the next.  And by the icy touch of Owen's toes against my back this morning I'd say it's time to add another layer of warmth to his bed.  Talk about a wake-up call.  Brrrr.  But, oh, the joys of autumn!  The chaos of summer, so welcome in June but so tiring come September, is put to order as the calendar marches on toward the predictability of fall and winter holidays.  I've been sifting through my yarn stash for woolly projects, the fabric stash for holiday gifts. I've already made two pots of soup, beans and rice from scratch (oh, my gosh, I will never make the boxed kind again) and my new donut pan arrived in the mail yesterday.  Anyone seen the hot chocolate and marshmallows?
