Pause

Spring sunsets in Oregon are so dramatic - all light and dark, stark contrasts and black silhouettes. It's so nice to leave the hustle and bustle of evening routines inside for the cool quiet evening outside. If the rain stops long enough for a peek at the blue sky behind the clouds - well, it's even better!

After a bit of a break, the knitting game is back on. A friend is expecting a girl in September so I have all the excuse I need to dig through the stash for pink and purple yarn (not that there is a lot of that in there) and maybe think about sneaking out to the LYS for more! A teeny tiny hat is done and an itty bitty sweater is on the needles now. Soon there will be a happy little pile of handknits for a sweet little soul. Baby knitting is the best kind of knitting there is! (Even when it's someone else's!)

You're right - baby knitting is super fun. You can do crazy colors and patterns that you yourself would never wear, the fit isn't terribly important (you'll never hear a baby ask "Does this sweater make me look fat?"), and teh parents are usually super psyched for the handmade gift. Rewarding all around.
