In the pink

Today is a rosy Tuesday around here. The plum blossoms are in full glory. The little petals fall constantly to the deep grass, especially when the little birds flit around the branches. Reminds me of snow or rain, but even softer. The sky is white, but the air is cool and comfortable - like being in the lettuce crisper!

In knitting news I have several things on the needles (frogged shawls notwithstanding) and a couple of newly wound skeins waiting in the wings, but this rose angora has most of my attention at the moment. Talk about soft!!! It will make a scrumptious hat for Mother's Day (and yes, Mom requested it specially so I'm going to blog about it).

I'm thinking I might have to change my clothes - charcoal pants and a navy blue sweater aren't really in keeping with my pink theme! Maybe I can dredge up some nice pink socks...

Love the blossom pictures. Such a contrast to what is happening here. Love the contract with focus in pic too. Makes the blossom look so sharp.
I looked the hat pattern up it is gorgeous. Looks fun and interesting to knit too.
