Spring Watch 2010

I wish I could take a picture of how warm the sun feels or how gentle the breezes are today. I wish I could take a picture of the bird song in the trees by the stream below our house, of the instinct to turn one's face toward the sunlight the same way a flower does.

My daffodils are almost obscene in their yellowness - they practically scream Spring! I am so loving it out there today.

The crocuses in the front yard are competing for the "Most Yellow" award (and, yes, there's more dorky garden "art"). It's so uplifting to see these beauties so early in the season (the flowers I mean, not the plaster frog). A lovely reminder that warm, flower-filled days are just ahead; we're getting closer to turning that corner.

Those shots are dreamy! Portland is amazing when spring peeks its head out. You're lucky, and what's better, you seem to know it.

You're turning the corner and bursting into Spring and we are getting the first tinge of colour in the deciduous trees. I wish there was a pause button so we could both enjoy the two most beautiful seasons. (well that's in my opinion)

I guess Phil is right - the people on the west side have all the luck - my daffodils are still tightly furled - although the crocus have bloomed even here on the east side -
