Milestone Monday

One more bib done, this one in blues, yellows and creams. They are much more masculine than the pink and orange sunset colors I used for the last one but when you don't know exactly what that upcoming baby will be...well, I didn't just want to use green and yellow. Who says boys can't wear pink? Girls certainly wear enough blue. These are so quick to knit up since they are garter stitch all the way (better for drinking margaritas with). The button I had in my stash. I think the next one will be earth tones.

It's funny to be crocheting an afghan in July but with the constant rain of yesterday and today's unlimited gray skies and cool temperatures it seems appropriate. I need to buy one more skein of each color for four more rows each and the blankie will be complete, and in plenty of time for the real chills of autumn. This will be great for snuggling under on the couch or for wrapping around our shoulders on a cool evening in the backyard.

But the REAL news of the day: Owen pooped in his potty! Ok, too much information for some of you, but we are all ecstatic. Owen and Daddy will be heading out for a treat tonight of Owen's choosing. A new car perhaps? We'll see! I'm so glad this is finally happening. I should have stripped him down and brought the potty upstairs LONG ago. I guess we know better for the next time around. Can you imagine only one set of diapers to buy? One bottom to clean? Gasp. Be still my heart.

Congratulations! Now this post may be TMI for some, but they can just be glad that you kept your photos to the subject of knitting. :)
