Homemade snacks

Well, the salsa isn't homemade, but the chips were. I discovered I'd accidentally purchased a whole bag of flour tortillas when there was already a bag in the fridge. No way can we eat that many burritos. So I cut them up, coated them with non-stick spray, sprinkled half with cinnamon and sugar and the other half with garlic salt and baked them on parchment paper for six minutes at 400 degrees. Voila! Chips! Next time I'll have to try it with the whole wheat kind. Then it's practically good for you.

I was thinking taco seasoning or powdered ranch dressing would be excellent!

Yum, I make these often with all kinds of seasoning. I have a recipe where you cut them into 1cm strips, drizzles them liberally with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper spread the strips out in single ish layer on baking tray and bake them in a hot oven till really crispy (not long). Serve them crunched up a little over salad. Olive oil is good for you isn't it!! Well the salad is healthy.
