Owen and I got the very last of the nursary plants in the ground. Pulled a few weeds, spread a little compost, chucked a few slugs. At least part of the front yard looks nice now. One day we'll get it all - but that day is not today!
This little ceramic mushroom is something I found at one of our favorite thrift stores in Portland (Village Merchants). It's supposed to be a salt or pepper shaker, but must have lost its mate at some point. I knew it would be just the thing for the empty patch beneath the ginko tree.
Now, if it would only rain again so I don't have to water...
