Jewel-tones

These blue bells are such a rich blue-violet. They look especially lovely against the reddish-purple of the new Japanese Maple leaves.
Jaunts with Daddy

It's off to the park for another adventure. Aidan is getting into the "swing of things" as well. He really seems to enjoy the baby swings; just like his brother does. Pretty soon Owen will be graduating to the regular swings. Before you know it he'll be jumping off (maybe we'll just leave that bike helmet on permanently).
Jam

This is the end of last year's jam collection. Every autumn we haunt the apple orchard in the countryside near our home - bouncy apple, sheep, pigs, apples, cider and caramel corn. What could be better? They stopped carrying the raspberry-rhubarb jam I loved so much (the lady who made it retired - how rude!) but this stuff is quite good. And isn't that tiny jar of marmalade cute? We never eat the stuff straight, but it makes a darn good sauce for chicken.
