Off to bed

There just isn't enough purple and pink in this house. I had to go out and buy up a bit more. Just looking at this yarn gets my gears going. With three boys in this house (heck, even two of the cats are male), sometimes I feel the need to assert my femininity.

Considering the night I had last night, I shouldn't even be coherent right now. I should be passed out somewhere with one arm flung over my face like a silent movie actress from the nineteen-twenties. I guess the term "second wind" was coined with mothers in mind.

Aidan was up EVERY HOUR last night, and Owen woke up and crawled into bed with us around three a.m. Oh my, I'm tired just thinking about it! Luckily the baby took two good naps today and even Owen took a short one. We all need a break sometimes. It was enough to ensure a relatively peaceful afternoon with relatively few tantrums. I even managed to take the boys to the park in the evening and enjoyed the cool April air. Aidan rode in the baby swing for the first time - the look on his face said "Ha Ha Ha! I'm swinging, Mama!"
Owen and I wound up these little balls of lusciousness this weekend. Aren't they grand? Back in January my MIL and I hit up Fabric Depot and I bought six skeins of this stuff (all that they had, in fact) to make a scarf for myself. It's 100% llama and oh so soft. I just love the pumpkinish hue. I could roll around in it. The pattern is from a http://purlbee.com entry. It's the Lovely Leaf Lace scarf.
Maybe if I start it now, I'll have it done by next fall...

"Fatigue is the best pillow"
I hope you managed to get a good night's sleep last night. I remember how bad it can be. Love the yarn!

You need a "Poor baby!" I hope that you Easter was full of crazy fun, and the boys just pass out tonight. Flinging yourself upon the divan, arms over your head, is never as satisfying in real life. Someone is always there to make you get up again.
Thanks for the yarn pics. What is all the lovely pink and purple stuff?
