Better Late

What a day. I feel like Sisyphus; my rock is at the top of the hill and now that night has fallen and the kids are (finally) asleep the rock is beginning to roll back down. Tomorrow I'll have to struggle to push it all the way back up again.

The wind has picked up over the course of the day and is wooshing past our open window. At least the weather has been nice - so warm and almost humid. I'm happy to sit here and crochet and listen to the wind and the television (we're watching Michael Palin's Sahara on Netflix).

Just have too many things on my mind, I guess. Can't quite settle on anything. And soon the rain will return so say the weathermen. Sigh.

Well, we can always stop and enjoy the daffodils.

And there are always warm baby toes to nibble at...

Alas, such is the life of a wife and mother. Never ending repetitive tasks but what an important role we play in the lives of our loved ones. Baby toes, fresh flowers and books, the rewards are good today! =P
