Something to wear on a "starry starry night"

Textured Shawl Recipe by Orlane

This is the souvenir yarn I brought back from Idaho - Shibui Knits Baby Alpaca DK.  It was my first time using it, and I have to say I will be using this again!  It's fabulous.  The shawl is sumptuous and warm and begs to be petted (or you could just stick your face in it and have a good snarfle like I did).  I pretty much followed the recipe, but added a bit of butterfly stitch near the hem for fun.  I mostly listened to Simon & Garfunkel, Don McLean, Jeff Buckley and Joni Mitchell while I knit this - I think all that mellow calming music made its way into the stitches and I can't wear it without thinking of the song "Vincent" now.  It's nothing but good, really.
